Computer Users just don't update their virus software
According to a 2006 survey sponsored by ESET, a global provider of security software for enterprises and consumers, and conducted by Harris Interactive(R), homeland computer security should be on high alert.
The vast majority of U.S. adult computer users (88%) have an antivirus program installed on their personal computer, but about two in three (65%) have postponed updating their antivirus program, thus leaving them unprotected from the growing maliciousness of today's online threats. The survey provides a look at the vast naivete and complacency of today's computer users with regard to online security.
That noted, please take this snowy opportunity to:
1) Update your existing security (anti-virus, anti-malware and anti-adware products).
2) If you have let your security product lapse, then uninstall it (TrendMicro, Norton, etc.) and install AVG 9.0 FREE instead. Click on the Installation Files tab to get to the actual download.
3) Then install and buy a $25 license for Malwarebytes. Click on the Download @ MAJORGEEKS button, no where else on this page.
Malwarebytes stops malicious websites from downloading malicious code to your computer(s). $25 prevention is well worth the $180 of cure.
